Welcome to the Training 2.0 Wiki
http://candeosblog.com/wp-content/authors/bigdave-2.jpg
We have started this wiki to provide information on the emerging trends and to demonstrate our wiki design, development and deployment capabilities.
The learners of today grew up with on demand technologies like Instant Messaging, MySpace, Facebook, Discussion Boards, Podcasts. Traditional classroom based learning will not be as successful in training the next generation of business leaders. Collaborative Learning's mission is to integrate these " on demand" technologies into mainstrem learning, driving more effective learning and results.
We will update this wiki as often as possible. For the latest information, please visit our blog
http://training20.net
According to TechWatch, a survey by Media Metrix shows that there were 339 million visits to Instant Messaging Services like MSN, Yahoo, and AIM in May 2006 alone. It is estimated these users will send billions of IM messages
Does it have an impact on the future of training? Absolutely For the next generation learners, using IM is as automatic as the baby boomers picking up a telephone. They communicate and share information over IM. Although it might not always be productive, it is a clear part of their culture. How can we apply a collaborative technology like IM to driving training results and effectiveness... we can.
Video
The explosive growth of YouTube has business oriented video for training purposes to be developed and deployed more quickly, efficiently and at a significanly reduce cost. Our client need a quick turnaround on a video introduction to be used internally. Our team scripted, shot, edited, converted and deployed this video in less than 48 hours.
Interactive Presentations Using Rapid Flash Development Technologies-
Our client wanted a clear, concise and interactive way to convey their capabilities to their internal staff and to their clients. In less than one week, we worked with their sales, delivery and executive team to design, produce and deploy this presentation. We used several collaborative learning technologies to create this presentation.
Social Networking
Using the most popular social networking site, Facebook, we created a group exclusively focused on Training 2.0 - The Future of Training and Collaborative Learning. While this group is just getting started, we hope to use these tools to foster collaboration and networking among trainers, thought leaders, and industry experts.
